We know our machines. We love all things sewing. And we love to share what we know. We host monthly trainings, classes, and events in our on-site classrooms, and even bring in some of the nation’s top educators right to you. Many of our classes are offered virtually, in case you can’t make it in person. Open Sew is available every fourth Friday, with special Sit & Sew Days throughout the year. You can find us every Monday morning at 9:30 AM on Facebook Live where we enjoy sharing the new fabrics, kits, sales, and fun updates. Sewing—often an individual activity—is so much better as a community. Come join us for the fun. Family Owned and Operated Since 1982

Our story began in 1982 in Dayton, Ohio when the original Sew-A-Lot shop took over the Singer Sewing Machine Dealership in the Dayton Mall. Over time, with the new ownership, came new machine brands to better serve our growing clientele. Fabric sales, quilting accessories, and classes were continually added to our line of products and services.

2nd generation Mother Daughter Team

In the late 1990s’, we moved into a historic school house, which is the current Centerville, Ohio location. In 2004, we expanded to the Lexington, Kentucky market with our second location. Today, our two family-owned locations are managed by the original owner’s daughters. Sewing is in our DNA.
